To Start the New Year Off, Our Team Makes Predictions on Where They See Mershman Seeds Headed
On this episode of Cup of Joe, our team at Merschman Seeds takes time to reflect as well as make predictions for the new year. In the previous year, the Cup of Joe team was spot on when it came to their 2022-year predictions.
This year, Merschman Seeds has three predictions for 2023: deflation, step changes, and high yield.
1.Deflation
Even though we are in the middle of a cycle of high inflation, we are about to start experiencing deflation in this upcoming year, the team predicts. The team believes fertilizer prices are going to continue to fall and they also mentioned they feel there will be an increased pressure on herbicide prices. As time progresses, prices are going to eventually drop.
2. Step Changes
Merschman Seeds will start seeing step changes when it comes to corn yields and disease resistance. With our new products looking strong, we are going to have happy customers and eager people ready to buy these products as we move into the ‘24 sales season.
3. High Yield
High yield is predicted in 2023 due to more products being brought in as well as our seed treatments, Starting Line and Starting Line Plus, which have helped minimize yield loss from early to mid-season diseases.
